Coming Soon to A Blog Near You. . .

1. Coastalscents.com-- I heard of this sight through a YouTube.com make- up guru that said the colors and quality were comparable to MAC ( and we all know how much I dig MAC)but WAAAAAY less expensive, so I placed and order Friday July 31, 2009 12:15 am EST. Once the products arrive I will grade them and post a couple pics and an overall review of the experience!!!
2. Maybelline Pulse Perfect vibrating mascara-- Lancome was the first cosmetic line I remember seeing this product at ($31), so when Maybelline jumped on the bandwagon and reduced the price you know I was game.
3. Wild 'N Crazy and LA Girl v.s OPI, Essie, and Orly-- The former are 2 of my fave brands from my local beauty supplier and the latter are 3 national brands, i am going to see how the nail polishes stack up against each other. Is less more, or is more... MORE???
4. All you can request-- You name it and I will go out there and try it!!! Within reason people, lets be real.

Bath and Beauty on the cheap...

So I know with the current economic climate everyone is pinching pennies and stretching those dollars as far as they can possibly stretch before they POP... and so luxury items such as scented hand soaps, shower gels, and moisturizers are not exactly on the top of your list. In fact, I am quite sure that many of you have gone back to the basics and are using Suave or Irish springs because you can get them while you are shopping for your groceries and they are cheap. All the while your skin and your senses are aching for the jojoba, avocado, almond, and grape seed oils that it used to enjoy as well as the rich sensual ,fresh, warm and tantalizing fragrances that your nose used to swim in before the crash.
Well suffer your senses no more! Bath and Body works has introduced 3 limited time only lines that are ultra hydrating, fragrant, luxurious, and inexpensive!!! Launched in late May True Blue Spa Naked collection is a group of products that are so light and sheer that they are almost like a second skin and are designed to let you be totally covered in moisture but feel completely Naked. My favorite products are the whipped Shea butter body lotion- Cotton Dress and the cool and very sheen and silky body mist- Bare Skin. The entire line consists of cotton dress, bare skin, a shower gel, a moisturizing body mouse, and an exfoliating body souffle. True blue spa also launched Escape to Morocco early July. It consists of 2 moisturizers, both made with Shea butter, a warming body scrub made with cedar wood, 2 shower gels, and a moisturizing shower cream enriched with rose petals and orange flowers. I love this entire line the fragrances are all so new and sensual and the experience divine. My top 2 products are the Sweet fig and Argan body lotion for a light weight moisture and fragrance experience and the Sweet fig and Saffron shower gel for a bittersweet shower experience filled with soothing bubbles and scents. This line is great for men and women because the fragrances are so exotic and are not the typical floral and muskfragrances that we gender associate with here. The second best thing about these 2 collections is that they are now 50% off, so hurry in and stock up.
Aside from this collection there is a limited edition (for the summer season only) hand soap and body wash collection called American Grown. As it's name implies all of the ingredients are cultivated right here in the good old US of A. Everyday valued priced at $5 for the 16oz hand soap and $10 for the 24oz body wash. Of this collection I have not been able to live with out Napa Grape- Smells just like red wine (for all of you lushes out there), Washington Apple (you have never smelled a macintosh better than this), and Savannah Mint (julep, that is)!!!
So I said it before and I will say it again run in get what you love and live on smelling great while everyone tries to figure how.

Until next time...

P.s.: Now through August 23rd antibacterial hand soaps are 5/$15 ($3ea, save up to $10) or 7/$20 (2.85ea, save up to $15), water-less hand sanitizing gels are 5/$5 and foams are 2/$5!!! Stock up and save, give them as gifts, spread love not GERMS!!!

Who me...

I know it has been DECADES since my last post and I apologize for that. I am happy to say that your girl is making the right moves to SERIOUSLY get her stuff together. Tomorrow should find me registering for my fall semester at DTCC, and if you are not from NC, that is Durham Technical Comm College. I will then, with the grace of GOD, be transferring my credits to a local (in- state) university to... FINALLY finish my degree in biology!!!! So please excuse my absence, it was for (for the most part 8p) a great cause!!! Thank you to Keisha Smith for messaging, texting, and calling me about a new post. I assure you they are on the way and with me holding down about 12 credits, and 36 hours a week at work I am quite sure there will be much to discuss. To Michael... you are my idol and I am a punk ass blogger 8( lol.

until next time...
